Black Marriage Day 2013

A celebration of Black Marriage Day 2013 is being held Saturday, March 16, presented by the Charles H. Wright Museum and Marriage Resource Center in Detroit. Festivities begin at 11 a.m., with music by Together as One, and a keynote address by Shawn and Philena Harper. A luncheon at 1 p.m. features the comedy of Horace H.B. Sanders. There will be a photo/essay contest at 3 p.m. Then, at 6 p.m., the finale includes a vow renewal ceremony, a strolling reception, an awards ceremony and a closing dance.
