A Blue Christmas Service is designed especially for those hurting during the holidays. People attend the service for several reasons: they are mourning the death of a loved one, they are far from home, they suffer from illness, addiction, or estrangement. People also come because they are experiencing loneliness, struggling financially, or in conflict with another. The reasons for coming are many. During the service, we gather in the midst of suffering to remember God is good. God is strong. God is near. The Blue Christmas Service is a safe place to feel whatever we are feeling and seek peace and hope.
