Join The Detroit Youth Choir in a “Celebration of Dreams” benefitting The Salvation Army L.I.F.E. Center.
Grounded in pillars of character building, skill-building, and dream-building, L.I.F.E. Center’s (Living Intentionally For Excellence) free tutorial and after-school programs enable Flint area students imagine everything possible and then reimagine the next chapters of their yet to be written life story.
About The Detroit Youth Choir
The Detroit Youth Choir knows what it means to celebrate dreams coming true. June 19, 2019, Terry Crews of America’s Got Talent hits the Golden Buzzer for Detroit Youth Choir, directed by Anthony White, for 21 years finished in second place. DYC returned to perform on AGT’s All Stars 2023, receiving their second “Golden Buzzer” from Terry Crews.
The Detroit Youth Choir offers youth ages 8 to 18 world-class performing arts experiences that develop their creative skills and talents through music education, dance, and theatrical arts.
All proceeds from the concert support The Salvation Army L.I.F.E. Center’s no cost after school programs, including nutritious dinner and snacks, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), Pre-Apprenticeship, Skilled Trades, Health & Fitness, Literacy, Tutoring, Dance, Theatre, Judo, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Music Production, Character Building, Sports Training (Basketball & Volleyball), and Teams for interactive game play.
