Trinity Life Church invites you to join us for this year’s FREEDOM 2025 on SUNDAY, JUNE 29 at 10:30AM in our Main Sanctuary. This worship celebration will feature special guest artist DOYLE DYKES (www.doyledykes.com), a world-renowned fingerstyle guitartist known for his faith-filled music and incomparable talent. Dykes has performed globally, from the Grand Ole Opry to international stages around the world. His collaborations span icons like Les Paul, Peter Frampton, and Vince Gill, solidifying his legacy in the music world. The service will also include a special tribute to those serving in our United States Armed Forces. DOYLE DYKES BIOGRAPHY
Doyle Dykes is an American fingerstyle guitarist known for his amazing technique and wide range of styles, including country, gospel, blues, and folk. Born in 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida, he started playing guitar at a young age and was deeply influenced by players like Chet Atkins and Merle Travis.
He began his career playing with gospel groups and later performed with artists like Grandpa Jones of the Grand Ole Opry. Over the years, Doyle has played around the world and released numerous albums, including Fingerstyle Guitar, Chameleon, and Return of the Falcon. His performances often feature original compositions and creative takes on classics like “Amazing Grace.”
Doyle is a devout Christian and often weaves his faith into his music and speaking. He wrote a book called The Lights of Marfa about his spiritual journey. Despite facing health challenges—including surgery that left him deaf in one ear—he continues to inspire audiences with his music and message.
He lives with his wife, Rita, and they have four children. One of his sons, Caleb, is also a guitarist.
