Garden Party at Pemberton House

03/03/2019 @ 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM

The public is invited to a Garden Party on Sunday, March 3 at the historic Sarah H. Pemberton House, located in the heart of the Roosevelt Row Arts District in Downtown Phoenix. The event is presented by True North Studio and curated by local restaurateur, Grace Unger of the Tuck Shop.

The event is part of the Garden Party series happening the first Sunday of every month at the historic house. Just in time for spring, this Garden Party event theme is “In Bloom”, a fringe event to the M3F.  Get festival ready at the bespoke flower crown and boutonniere station, add a touch of glam with face painting or just loosen up with a cocktail or two all while enjoying a variety of lawn games.  Entrance to the front gardens is free.  For $15, guests gain access to the house and back gardens where they can enjoy a Whiskey and Cheese Tasting hosted by Macallan Scotch, a Spanish G&T bar hosted by St. George Spirits, and a selection of spring garden party passed hors d’oeuvres. Food dishes include quiches, cakes, pies, salads and shrimp cocktails. Tickets are available for the March 3 event at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/garden-party-in-bloom-tickets-56856598617.

A portion of ticket and bar sales will go to the Evans Churchill Neighborhood Association, a not-for-profit organization in downtown Phoenix that raises awareness, promotes, improves and protects the neighborhood.

The Garden Party series will happen the first Sunday of every month from now through May. Recently renovated by True North Studio, the historic Pemberton House was built in 1920 by Sarah Pemberton. The house is listed in the Phoenix Historic Property Register. The prairie-style house is one of the few remaining in the Valley.
