Hot Cocoa Bar with Make & Take Ornaments
Sunday, December 17th, 2023 — 11:00 a.m.

North Scottsdale United Methodist church invites you to indulge in a Festive Hot Cocoa Bar & Ornament Making on Sunday, December 17th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. This event is free and open to the community.

After experiencing the enchanting “The Christmas Light” concert at 10:00 a.m. in the NSUMC sanctuary, please join them for a delightful Hot Cocoa Bar reception in the adjacent fellowship hall. The Hot Cocoa bar invites the visitor to a cozy array of delights, starting with rich, steaming cocoa as its centerpiece. Surrounding this warm indulgence will be an assortment of toppings: fluffy marshmallows ready to melt into creamy goodness, a sprinkling of chocolate shavings for that extra touch of decadence, a dollop of whipped cream to crown the cup with sweetness, and perhaps the selection of a dash of cinnamon or peppermint for a delightful twist. Alongside these one will find, an ensemble of stirrers – candy canes, cinnamon sticks, or even pretzel rods – await to add both flavor and fun. And let’s not forget the variety of Christmas cookies and pastries, inviting a delightful pairing with every sip.

Savor steaming hot cocoa adorned with all the fixings while crafting your own ornament at the “make & take” station. As a special treat, “make & take” ornaments and holiday cards will be available to share the warmth of the season with your loved ones. Crafting homemade ornaments is a whimsical journey into creativity, where each moment becomes a canvas for ones imagination to flourish. From gathering the materials to the final embellishments, it’s a joyful exploration of colors, textures, and personal flair. There’s an enchanting thrill in shaping raw materials into something magical. The process isn’t just about the end result; it’s about the laughter shared, the anticipation of seeing an idea come to life, and the sheer delight of creating something uniquely yours. With every stroke and every detail, making a homemade ornament is an uplifting celebration of craftsmanship and the pure joy of crafting heartfelt Christmas treasure.
