LVQG to Present “The Supper” Quilt
01/21/2013 @ 10:00 AM - 6:00 PMNo
Don Locke, a full-time dentist (now retired) made The Supper quilt, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.” It is 15.25’ wide by 5.6’ high; 51,816 pieces of ½” squares of fabric; 350 different fabrics. It took Don 2-1/2 years, 1200 hours, to complete this quilt on a Singer Featherweight sewing machine. Don will also bring some antique quilts to show.
A $5 donation is required to see this extraordinary masterpiece. The donation benefits LVQG’s community projects. This is the first time shown in Northern Arizona.
