On June 21, celebrate the first day of Summer with Make Music Day Worldwide Celebration in Macon, Georgia on streets, sidewalks, parks, and even in department stores and hotels with live music on the first day of SUMMER. FREE and Family Friendly!
“Make Music Macon exists to support and uplift the City’s vibrant music community. We focus on creating opportunities for connection among local artists, organizations and music supports – helping to strengthen relationships, highlight ongoing efforts, and celebrate the role of music in Macon’s cultural life, “Where Soul Lives!”
Make Music Day is a signature event that is a part of a global initiative held each year on June 21. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, Make Music is celebrated on the same day in more than 2,000 cities in dozens of countries around the world.
This year’s theme is Make Music Day Worldwide Celebration is “Boots on the Ground” with the trending Line Dance & Live Music in Downtown and around the City.
