Scenic City Women’s Network September Luncheon

09/27/2012 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Speaker: Tabi Upton Topic “Flourishing: One Step at a Time” After two foot surgeries, seven months on crutches, and two years of total recovery, Tabi Upton learned a little about fear, impatience, discomfort, and joyful recovery. She seeks to share the lessons learned on this challenging physical journey from brokenness to wholeness, paralleling that sojourn to the emotional and spiritual journeys we all must make in life. How do we flourish when we feel off balance, weak, immobile, and limited? Come walk with her as she shares her insights about the power of God’s healing grace, one step at a time. Tabi Rebekah Upton attended Biola University in sunny Southern California, where she graduated with a BA in Psychology. She spent two years in West Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer before completing her MA in Professional Counseling from Colorado Christian University. She is currently employed at CBI-Richmont Counseling Center. She writes a column for the Times Free Press called “Mind Matters” and is a free-lance writer for the Chattanooga News Chronicle. Tabi is a member of the Crossing Church and enjoys encouraging others to grow closer to God through her counseling, speaking, and writing. Reservations: Call 698-6262 or email romaine@scwn.org Deadline Tuesday, September 25. Program and lunch is: $10 for members and $12 for visitors.
