Veterans Breakfast

FreeLarry “Hoss” Pearson, a former commander of the Navy Blue Angels, will be the guest speaker at the Saturday, Sept. 16 Veterans Breakfast sponsored by La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, Scottsdale. The free breakfast is open to the public and begins at 8 a.m. Pearson will speak at 9 a.m.
Pearson was born in Redlands, Calif., and attended the University of Texas. He joined the Navy in 1969 and served as commanding officer of VF-154 Black Knights, VX-4 Air Test and Evaluation Squadron, and Naval Air Station Miramar. He accumulated a total of 8,500 flight hours in tactical aircraft including 66 types of aircraft. His career included 158 combat missions and 820 carrier landings.
At the breakfast, veterans may visit the Veterans Booth to speak with experts for information and helpful resources. La Casa de Cristo is located at 6300 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale. To register, go to lacasadecristo.com/veterans.
