“It’s so easy to think and be negative, but when you hear positive things, it makes it hard to stay negative,” Jennifer says.
Jennifer’s words echo a simple biblical truth—a call to renew our minds, reminding us that what we listen to can transform our thinking (Romans 12:2).
Jennifer shares, “I struggle with depression, and I’m not completely over it.” Her battle is one many of us understand too well, yet her discovery offers hope—immersing ourselves in positive, faith-affirming messages can pave the way for light to penetrate the darkness.

As a social worker counseling those battling substance abuse, Jennifer encounters heartache and despair daily. “Life is really hard for them, so I have to decompress at the end of the day, and FLR helps me this way,” she confesses. For Jennifer, not just a source of personal encouragement, FLR is also a tool for professional resilience.
The significance of casting our cares on God because He cares for us becomes practical through the ministry of FLR, offering a haven for Jennifer to lay down the burdens of the day (1 Peter 5:7).
