JOB TITLE:  Advancement Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Advancement

REPORTS TO:   Advancement Manager & Business Partnership Manager

FLSA STATUS: Full-time, Exempt

LOCATION: Tucson, AZ

POSITION SUMMARY: The Advancement Coordinator will coordinate Advancement efforts and general department support. The qualified candidate will also assist in following up with prospective and active donor relationships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage reporting and acknowledgment process for
  • Provide follow-up support for the Advancement team with donors, events, and Estate Planning requests,
  • Assist in coordinating Advancement workflow through various departments, including broadcast production, compliance, traffic, marketing, etc.
  • Help maintain, update, and improve the processes and procedures under the Advancement team.
  • Provide prospective research support.
  • Direct contact to Major Gift and Strategic Partnership teams in a supportive role.
  • Assist with organizing major Advancement events (VIPs, business events, etc.).
  • Work in partnership with the Advancement leadership by screening and researching donors, notifying appropriate team members of donors with greater giving potential, sharing contact information, and helping as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts in the Customer Relations Management (CRM) Database system.
  • Performs various administrative functions including, but not limited to, preparing presentations, coordinating meetings, compiling/disseminating agendas, minutes, and action items, proofreading letters/memos and other documents., and coordinating travel.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in Team and One on One Meetings.
  • Participate in all staff functions (i.e., weekly chapel, team building activities, team summit, etc.).
  • Participate, along with the entire staff, in answering Sharathon calls and documenting the caller’s donation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Education/Experience – bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or comparable experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:   

  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing, editing, and proofing business documents.
  • Proficient in (internet) research and database use such as Salesforce, iWave Wrike, Aquira, etc., and the ability to run necessary reports. If no experience, must possess a strong aptitude for learning new technologies quickly.
  • Understanding of fund development and donor stewardship (or willing to learn).
  • Possess effective organization and time management skills, and be highly effective while working with remote teams.
  • Thrives on seeing a project through to completion, am energized by details, and support others’ success.
