The Production and Traffic team takes the programming plan and turns it into quality radio productions for FLR’s CCM radio format. Together we produce the highest quality productions possible in a relaxed, friendly, yet creative environment.

The right person for this position will:

  • Keep a steady stream of creative productions flowing out of our department
  • Be the backup person for the Traffic Manager as we take on a new Traffic system, Aquira
  • Come on board and join the team as we get a new Media Asset Management system fully functional

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years professional, creative script-writing and radio producing experience using multi-track DAW applications and PCs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES – Sr. Production Editor

  • Proven creative and innovative “out-of-the-box” thinker; demonstrates knowledge of effective, contemporary radio production methods, tools, and production styles used industry-wide
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general marketing principles
  • Knowledge and proven ability to edit audio utilizing multi-track editing software on a PC platform; strong skills in using SONY Vegas and Sound Forge, Adobe Audition, or equivalent applications. Able to cross-train on similar DAW applications
  • Proven ability to write listener-focused production scripts that deliver results
  • Proven ability to direct voice talent performances that meet department standards
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and decision-making skills. Proven project management skills: ability to plan and perform complex work in a fast-paced work environment where only general policies or procedures are available
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to write, edit and proof business documents
  • Strong presentation skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES – Traffic Manager

  • An ability to organize a large amount of data to ensure that every piece of data is sent to the proper place
  • Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operation of broadcast communications systems
  • Knowledge of Music Scheduling Software

We’re looking for someone to help us with the production (scripting and production) and traffic workload. The Senior Production Editor/Traffic Manager will devote 20-25% of their time to performing Traffic duties alongside the Traffic Manager. The majority of the time in this position will be spent creating high-quality, network radio productions, such as promos for on-air contests, imaging, Sharathons, Marriage Conferences, and other local events. We are continually busy, but our workflow is predictable and manageable.
