Yours in Christ,

Lexi had always been a good girl. Sweet. Kind. Obedient.
Raised in a Christian home, she rarely gave her mom, Cheryl, any trouble or cause for concern.
“When she became a teenager, things started to change,” Cheryl said. “She went through some hard times, and all of a sudden, she no longer wanted to go to church. She thought Christians were hypocrites, saying one thing yet doing another.
As you can imagine, Cheryl’s heart was broken. A lifetime of leading her child in the way she should go, only to have it all be for nothing.

There was no way Cheryl was giving up on Lexi.
As a long-time listener of Family Life Radio, she had personally experienced the transformative power of the music and content you help make possible. “Every day, I listen to it in my car, and it’s on my computer at work,” Cheryl said.
“So, I started listening to Family Life Radio at home too,” she shared. “Now, whenever Lexi is around me, she hears the songs, she hears the testimonials. It’s not me preaching at her, it’s God reaching her through your station.”
You are broadcasting God’s voice to a hurting world.
Every day, young people like Lexi are bombarded by messages from the media, social networks, their peers — content that promotes shame, guilt, anger and fear. Messages that cause them to question and even turn from what they believe.
When you give to support Family Life Radio, you help broadcast God’s voice where it’s needed most.
Yet, through your support of Family Life Radio, you help broadcast God’s voice — messages of peace, hope, love and truth!
“I’m so thankful for your station,” Cheryl said. “It’s really helping. Recently, Lexi even started going to church with me again!”
God changes lives through your generosity. Thank you for the HOPE you offer people like Cheryl and the TRUTH you send out to searching souls like Lexi.
“Until you see another human being forgive you, the forgiveness of God is never quite as real.”
Those are words spoken by We Are Messengers front man Darren Mulligan, who “fell in love with Christ” when Heidi, his bride-to-be, forgave him after he admitted his repeated infidelity to her.
“Forgiveness is probably one of the toughest things to do as a Christian,” he says. “No. Scratch that. As a human.”
You can learn more about Darren’s journey to forgiveness through the We Are Messengers single “Point to You.”
Tune in to myflr.org to listen to the entire interview and to experience the music of Darren Mulligan and We Are Messengers and so many other amazing Christian artists!
Love Your Neighbor campaign update
Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Love Your Neighbor campaign. Because of your nominations, we were able to bless several people throughout our listening areas.
Friends of the ministry helped underwrite the giving to make it possible for us to fulfill these blessings and so many others! Thank you for helping love our neighbors as we spread the love of Christ.
When David and Shirley Duncan lost their jobs of 30 years, they couldn’t imagine starting over.
That’s when God called them to something new. There was a knock on the door. A little boy from the neighborhood stood there, one David had never seen before. “He was kinda scrawny, and he asked if he could have a cup of water.” Over the next several days, the little boy came back, bringing friends.
That’s how The Hotdog Club got started! Today, David and Shirley feed dozens of kids and their families and tell them about Jesus.
David and Shirley were recently nominated during the Love Your Neighbor campaign.
Through your support, David and Shirley were gifted with five lighted umbrellas for the five picnic tables in their backyard. Thank you!

Summer is a time when it can be difficult to keep God front and center in our lives.
Vacations and other activities mean we don’t always make it to church on Sunday. Bible studies and other small groups often take a break during the summer.
Family Life Radio is a great way to keep God on our hearts and minds — at home, in the car or on the go.
Please GIVE TODAY to help to help people around the world to discover Jesus’ great love for them, grow in their Christian faith, experience healing and encouragement.
