I am asking for all of you to pray for me. I have been ridiculed and bullied all my life because of my African/strong facial features, deep voice, to top it off, I have a learning disability. However, God has been so good to me, but the culmination of repeated bullying has caused complex trauma, fear of man, and anxiety. It has been tremendously crippling. I am deeply wounded about my past, it literally cripples me to be myself because I deeply care about how others see me. In the work force, I have experienced severe ridicule because of my differences, and it has caused me a great deal of anxiety to the point that I can’t articulate myself during teacher observations I'm teaching in the inner city. When the bullying from co-workers is too much I tend to leave the job not learning the lesson that Christ wants me to learn. It's for Him to prevail through me. I'm teaching 1st grade at an inner-city school. I’m literally the butt of some of the teachers and administrators jokes. They have mocked me for not being technology literate (part of my learning disability) and having a loud voice (born with a deep voice). Because of the microaggressions. Being at this teaching job is toxic for me and I want to learn the lesson before I depart in June. We have a school observation on 5/3, 8 am to 12 pm and I want Christ to prevail. I injured my back carrying clothes up the steps. The doctor thinks it’s a pinched nerve coupled with the very bad back sprain that never healed properly. My back muscle is constantly stiff, & have nerve pain. I’ve had an MRI, x-rays, two injections, three months of physical therapy, chiropractor visits, also trying ultrasound therapy. 90% of my waking moments are spent standing and walking around because it's excruciating to sit! I'm 43 yrs old. I have 2 children that are very involved in school activities. Three months ago my husband of 20 yrs dropped a bombshell and moved out. He wants to divorce, he’s been involved with another woman. I'm heartbroken & devastated. His relationship with his children is extremely strained. God, it feels like you have forsaken me, even though I know you haven't. But it's hardship after hardship, and I'm more lonely than ever. In the midst of this I want to follow after You, just that my thoughts are like really heavy and there seems to be no relief. I need both repentance and submission/full surrender, and both seem so hard. Jesus, I pray You come with Redemption in this situation, send me a friend, more work, healing over family relationships, free me out of this "enemy land" into peace and Your steps and calling.
