I believe in marriage and the bond between two people under God! My husband wants a divorce. He’s been considering it off and on for over a year. I’ve prayed so much! I’ve tried to do the right things but sometimes I fail. I end up being pushy at times which is probably pushing him away. We have 4 children...almost 12, 9, 3, and 1. I’m a stay at home mom and he’s a paramedic that works nights. He no longer goes to bed with me even on his nights home. He doesn’t try to spend time with me or the kids. He’s self absorbed in playing basketball on the playstation and watching tv. I’ve tried asking for us to go out on a date, or do things we use to like, or even take the kids to get ice cream. He just says he doesn’t want to. I’ve tried asking if we can just work on our friendship and he said he doesn’t want to. I’ve been praying but am at a loss on what to do. The older two children are from my ex husband who isn’t involved due to abuse. So I know that divorce had to happen for the safety of our children. But this marriage has just gotten hard and my husband has given up. I’m praying for peace during this time, to know what to say or not to say, and to love unconditionally. I’m also praying that God will soften his heart and bring him back to me. Thank you so much for praying for our marriage.
