Praise God On His Faithfulness! On Sept 19th my husband filed for divorce after six months of his parents pushing him into it. All because I was over, fed up with doing every holiday and kids birthday with my mother-in-law & step-father-in-law. They talked my husband into filing. On Sept 22nd I was served in front of our kids. On the 23rd his mother came & helped him move out. But, my husband didn't stay gone. After 2 days of estrangement he came home and we began to work on our marriage. 58 days later he confessed at conciliation court he did not want divorce. 68 days after he filed for divorce we both went to the courts & signed a motion to dismiss the divorce. We reconciled. Two months of hard work & trusting God has grown us closer than ever before. So much so my husband has asked me to have a ceremony to convert our marriage to a covenant marriage so that divorce can never be an option again or used as a weapon again. We have been faithfully going to marriage counseling and putting to practice the things we are learning. God has delivered our marriage! But with a price. My husband's parents are now being nasty with him, me & our children. It breaks my heart they can't, won't rejoice in our reconciliation. He and I have been together for almost 20 years & married for almost 10 years. We took 10 years before we got married because we are high school sweethearts and neither of us believe divorce aligns with God's Word. I'm beyond happy for this second chance in our marriage. God is blessing and sustaining our faithfulness. But I'm terrified how things will play out with my in-laws and how it will break the hearts of our 3 small boys.
