I am following up with family & friends. My sister Cheri was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer last week. She had been losing weight exceptionally fast & experiencing other symptoms that were concerning. After an MRI, Pet Scan & Liver biopsy she got the diagnosis. Of course family was devastated but Cheri has not skipped a beat. She has decided to face it & be good with it. However, she has a strong faith & has not conceded entirely.
Cheri is a vibrant, determined woman, who only a few months ago, was looking to buy a home in a small community in Arkansas, where she & her husband could enjoy their retirement, take walks together, work in the garden & just enjoy each other’s company. She has not given up hope.
Currently, she is still up & around. She is trying to eat as much as we can get her to eat, and she is still taking care of herself.
She has her husband’s love; her sibling’s love; her children’s love; her grandchildren’s love; her many nieces & nephews’ love; and a beautiful 3 year old great granddaughter’s love. Not to mention very loving cousins and many, many loving friends. If you asked her, she would tell you, “don’t count me out!” When you’re a fighter it’s always possible to beat the odds.
Cheri is very much loved & appreciated.
