I am asking for supportive prayer. I was on scholarship, to a very good liberal arts college, in world religion & philosophy. Depressive by genes and being 21 yrs old, this is said to be the age the illness usually strikes a person prone to it. I became pathologically depressed so I sought the help. The doctor began prescribing heavy doses of narcotics. I became pyschotic. I was placed in adult foster care homes for 20 yrs. After 20 yrs they gradually put me on antidepressent and a mood stabilizer. I entered Celebrate Recovery, a Christian based recovery group. It took years for the process of forgiveness/ healing to reach fruition. I'm relieved to say that after 2 1/2 decades I will be starting to live independently. So much has been lost along the way. I plan on finishing my bachelors and possibly going further in my degree. I would so appreciate any prayer support offered. Merry Merry Christmas!
