1. Married 33 yrs - feel very alone - husband can’t be intimate because of low testosterone but their is also NO other affection: hugging, cuddling etc.
he’s cordial to me but we are more like roommates than husband and wife. I had an affair 30 yrs ago and confessed it to him and HE is the one who wanted me to stay w/ him but he has not been intimate w/ me in 6 yrs and before that it was only 1-2 x / yr.
2. Dealing with rapidly declining parents cognitively and physically.
Me and siblings are trying to deal with the issues - I’m a nurse and take care of their medication boxes but it’s an2 hr drive each way for me to do that.
Dad is not supposed to be driving and is.
Prayer: my 2 brothers who are executors of parents estate are going to talk to their estate attorney Re: legally stopping Dad from driving (mom doesn’t like to drive but does when she has to). We are praying to is does not turn our parents against us.
My brother is also a pastor.
I have 2 brothers and 1 sister - we are all Christian’s and we are praying for God’s guidance but feel kind of lost in this situation.
As a RN for 41 yrs I have dealt with patients w/ dementia but it is a totally different animal in dealing with your own parents.
3. My oldest daughter will be 41 next month- she accepted Christ as her savior in teens - then declared she was gay just before she turned 20 and now she is transgendering and taking testosterone and growing facial hair and informed be 2 days ago she has made the decision to have bilateral mastectomy as part of the transgender process.
I explained potential issues / complications with this surgery from a nurse’s prospective but it fell on deaf ears.
I am just feeling really overwhelmed right now!
