First positive word since being told that I need triple bypass surgery-my carotid doppler test looked good. Cardiac surgeon was very negative. No real family other than my elderly church family. My two closest friends both died within 5 weeks of each other this summer. My best friend was only 59. He died after a 9 1/2 year battle with multiple myeloma. My other friend died at 83 with many health issues at the time. No family, one friend (not as close as we once were), no caregiver, obese, mild diabetes, surgeon sounded like there was no real option except triple bypass (but said I have a lot of risk factors & sounded very negative). I was upbeat & positive--now I'm discouraged. Several more pre-op tests, but I'd like to rest in God's amazing grace. Please lift me up in your prayers. I need it. God help me to trust and rest in you regardless of the outcome. My 59 yr old best friend knew he was dying, and reminded me of Paul's exclamation: To live is Christ, and to die is gain. Please pray that I trust in God and not in Satan's discouraging words. I want God to use me as he chooses to bring glory to his name. "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness." Amen. God help me to set and fix my eyes on you alone, and trust you in the face of all my doubts and fears ("We Believe" by the Newsboys). THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS!!!
