Today Mom is having a hysterectomy to remove the cancer. My siblings and I won't know if she needs radiation therapy or chemo until after the operation. Our grandfather, Mom's Dad, was two years older than her when he was operated on to have his cancer removed. The surgeon had to close him up and tell the family that nothing could be done. This memory weighs heavily on our hearts today.
