May I ask for prayer for my work, which is currently stressful for me. The amount of things that need to get done is overwhelming.
About 14 months ago I completed graduate school, and got this awesome job. I didn't get much help paying for school because of my family situation (father's been in prison for the last 10 years) and was really thankful for the income to pay off my student loans. God has been gracious and He has allowed me to:
1. completely pay off my student loans
2. help my mom finish paying off her student loans (which she incurred while I was growing up to be able to get a job to take care of my brothers and I),
3. and has also granted me grace to help my younger brothers pay off their student loans.
In total, the student loan debt for the 4 of us was amounting to $158,000. As of today, the total remaining of the student loans is $24,000. I mention the student loans because my calculations show that my family will be done paying off my younger brother's (the 2 of them) student loans by the end of September (3 months from now), which, when I got this job, is what I prayed for. "Lord, please let me keep this job at least until I can help my younger brothers pay off their student loans".
I don't deserve this job, and its been evident these last few months that I'm in over my head. If I had more time I could do the work assigned to me. I wish the Lord would stop the sun in the sky like he did for Joshua. CS Lewis seems to think that this won't happen, but I would like prayer nonetheless, for something like this to happen.
I've not taken vacation since completing graduate school (which is a marathon in itself with no vacations), I have not found a God fearing women in my arena (my job is in a remote place) to live my life with and ease any burdens, I don't have a house or a fancy car, or any savings. I'm just trying to help my brothers right now by being foolish in what I give away. I'm tired, but request prayer for strength to do what's set before me well. Or to at least to keep this job for 3 more months.
