My son, Bruno, was born with Coloboma which is blindness in his left eye. He's 21 years old and is an EMT pursuing his dream to be a firefighter. He was accepted into the fire academy here in Coolidge AZ. He had his physical today and being in perfect health put him as a tier 1. But once his eye exam results came, it bumped him to a tier 5; meaning disqualified. He was told it was ultimately up to the department and the chief. I pray this will not hold him back from being the fireman he so deserves to be. And he is able to show he is capable of this ever so heartfelt career.
Please keep my son in your thoughts and prayers. We are praying for a chance at an absolute dream. Thank you to you all.
