A young woman that became my friend through work -- she was a first time teacher and had some difficulty with classroom management and lost her job when our school administration decided she would not be able to improve. She is being considered for a middle school teaching position that I think will be a better fit. She has so much to offer she just needs a good mentor and support from the administration. I have met lots of new teachers in my 25 years of educational employment and I know that she is supposed to be a teacher, she just needs some encouragement and direction.
