My dear friend called me with this:
here's more to my husband's story than the gangrenous gallbladder...they found a large mass on his right kidney when they did the gallbladder scan and the radiologist said it is consistent with renal cell carcinoma. We met with the oncologist yesterday morning and the plan will be a full body scan as an outpatient, (hoping to know when today), then to a urologist and then the kidney removed. The oncologist said they don't like to biopsy it because of the vascular nature of the kidney and chance to move cells along somewhere else. .the oncologist said this gallbladder was lifesaving. I hope so. Thanks for prayers.
