Ok.....so here goes. Early last month, Jeremy and I had a genetic test done at the advice of my OB. The results came back with a not so great possibility. Trisomy 18 is the term used to describe a potentially fatal condition for baby Luke. But, it was just a blood test. The offer of termination was put on the table, but that was not an option for us. We decided that, through faith and God there was a reason for all of this. We were picked to be his parents. And we were fully convicted that Gods got this one too. So.....quietly and in prayer we trudged.
Last week we had a level 2 ultrasound that showed unfavorable characteristics of trisomy 18. One clubbed foot, one clenched fist, a heart defect called VSP and some brain abnormalities.
He is a super active little guy, and is growing right on track however.
We see a perinatologist on 11/13 and we are not giving up. God's not done yet. I believe that.
I don't know what tomorrow brings. We are powerless. But I know I am no longer alone or HOPELESS..... I ask for your prayers for our son Luke James and our family. I claim the healing power of Jesus in all of this, whatever the outcome is. I know that God has no grandchildren......that Luke is His.
