Have been in church all my life and attended Christian schools growing up. Didn't intentionally start seeking God until 2015. I can look back and see growth, but ever since Fall 2016 I've felt distant from God and now the internal mental torture of overthinking the Bible/Gospel message leads to nonstop thoughts in my mind that I'm not truly born again. I can't mentally get past this battle worrying that I only admire the Bible/agree with what it says but don't truly BELIEVE it in the depths of my heart and have saving faith. I've been stuck in this rut for 3+ years and have been crying out to God the whole time to help my unbelief and deliver me in this "day of trouble" so that I may honor him and genuinely be excited to share him with people. It's hard to cheerfully share Jesus at this point not knowing if I myself am born again. Sorry to be so long winded, but I'm sure you get my point. Thank you to anyone who says a prayer for me!
