I am asking for prayer for both of my adult daughters and myself. I have a special needs daughter who is looking for a job as an office assistant. She is a very determined young lady with many good skills. She has a Christian heart and strong work ethic. She is good on the computer and possesses many valuable and useful skills even though she is special needs. She completed an office internship and did very well in the setting. She is looking for part time work, perhaps 10 hours a week in a low stress compassionate office where she can be useful and feel valued and good about herself. She hasn't had any opportunities or open doors since her internship ended in mid November. She was working at our church as a video tech for the last 2 and a half years, but due to reduced funding for the church, they cut back on most all paid positions and no longer use video screens during service. She now volunteers her time folding paper bulletins each Sunday. My prayer is that she will find an appropriate customized employment setting soon in which she can be successful and a blessing to others. My other daughter who was 23 at the time had her thyroid removed due to cancer in 2017. Since that time, while she has generally been doing well, she was very tired and edgy. They adjusted her meds but nothing really has been exact. Last fall she began new medications and strict diet changes to heal her gut, liver and adrenals. The thyroid medication wasn't effective at all and her levels climbed from 0.29 to 99.0 in December which is EXTREME! Due to having had cancer it is best for her to remain between 0.4- 0.8 to keep the cancer from returning. She is back down to 5.9 after a thyroid medication change. While this is trending in a good direction, it has been 2 months and she is not in the safe zone. I worry about her levels due to prior cancer. Also her liver level has remained at around 26 and the Dr really would like it to be at 18 for her best overall health. The goal is for her thyrogobulin level to remain undectible (to prevent cancer reoccurance), her TSH to be 0.4- 0.8, her ALT to decrease to 18 from 26, her adrenals to heal, and her gut to heal. She is on a 90 day extremely restrictive diet due to allergy and food sensitivity testing. It is getting harder and harder to tolerate this diet, but thank goodness she should be able to start reintroducing foods back in very slowly this week. She missed her follow up tele med Dr appointment yesterday due to confusion about daylight savings time change across state lines. This stressed her out. She needs to speak with the Dr ASAP to make sure she is medicating the correct way to get her labs down to where they need to be quickly, especially her TSH. I worry about all of this having a negative affect on per post cancer situation. Please pray for healing, good changes in lab test results and getting back on a healthy track. Give her strength not to give up on all of these difficult things she has been doing to make good changes for her health. Pray for all of her multiple Dr s wisdom to be given to her so that she will have good health, energy and strength. She is a Christian woman who is newly wed last April and this hasn't been an easy journey, although they have both been handling it well, but I think my daughter is about to get very frustrated. She is ready to give up on the difficult diet restrictions. I pray she will have the strength to stick with the plan and that the Dr's will have the correct wisdom to make her better and not worse off. Pray for her healing and to remain free from cancer, and regain age appropriate energy and focus level. I ask for prayers for myself who also had thyroid cancer in 2009 and a reoccurance in 2011 to remain cancer free and in good health for my family.
