As all parents would agree, my son is my world. This last year has been one of the worst for both us. His father, whom he did not know due to his father's alcoholism, passed away. My son was really devastated. He's been attending school for welding and almost dropped out. Then my husband and I got divorced which was yet another blow to us. My son pulled himself up and became one of the top in the class. He had also quit smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee and chewing his nails. He then quit smoking weed in October and seemed so focused on his future. He had three weeks off for the holidays and started smoking weed again. He's whole attitude has flipped again. He's still going to school and had been asked by his teachers to compete in Skills USA. He has now informed me that he doesn't want to complete due to being told one other guy is definitely going because he works for the company providing the materials and another guy who failed last year when he went to competition so he's taking one class to qualify him again which means one spot is left and it's between my son and his friend. He's lost all motivation and seems lost again. I beg God every day, multiple times to help him. He needs everyone's prayers to lift his spirit and motivation and strength. He suffers from depression and needs God. Please everyone, I'm so scared for him, this world is eating him up.
