One of my friends who used to be Christian, has gone through the fire, almost quite literally, and instead of this causing him to grow closer to God, it has caused him to turn far away. In the past year, his house burned down, and due to the financial strain, his parents got a divorce. Resulting from all of this, he began to feel like he was out of control of his life, and now he’s a she... He now believes he’s transgender, and has always been this way. He abandoned us Christian friends to hang out with his new friends, which are the Gay-Straight-Alliance club at school. He’s going by a different name, different pronouns, and is as far from being the person he used to be as possible. He’s planning on wearing a dress to prom this year to “come out” to the whole world that he’s a girl, and almost everyone I know is supporting him on it...only me and a couple of my Christian friends find anything wrong with this.
Also, my mom is a teacher who teaches in a similar hostile environment, and she just got an opening to teach in a Christian setting, so if you could, please pray she gets the job as well.
