My daughter is in need of prayers.
She is a junior in college and was dating a young man for six months and he sexually assaulted her. She turned him into the college and after a week long investigation by the schools title lX investigator he was found guilty. He was kicked out of college. He got a lawyer and is threatening to sue the school so they allowed him to come back to college on an appeal. In the first week of being back at school he started playing games and trying to scare her several times and the college did not help her with making him stop. So does not feel safe at school. She was told to file a restraining order so she did but actually she filed the wrong paperwork so he was allowed to come back to school again. Because the school told her to file a restraining or when actually she needed a different kind of order of protection. He is walking around the college campus still being considered guilty on paper and in the eyes of the school. In the meantime the second investigation was supposed to take a few weeks and it has now been five months and still no results. My daughter has to keep filling out paperwork and telling her story over and over again and has to rebut the response the ex-boyfriend is saying. Each time he responds he tells a different story and makes up lies. So it has to be looked at by a different group to decide if he is guilty. They keep passing it on to a different group because they don’t want to make the decision because the outcome will alter the life and potential future of the person. In the meantime my daughter has been on an emotional roller coaster and is just getting so depressed. She doesn’t feel safe at school.
The college has hired an expert in the title lX laws so the whole investigation was started all over again.
My daughter just got a new (the last) set of paperwork she has to rebut and respond to and again it is full of made up things that are just destroying her.
This should be the last of it and we are asking that the results can help her to get closure. We are praying for her to win a second time and that the ex-boyfriend doesn’t get away with the assault and all the lying he has been doing.
She has been struggling with all of this and her faith has been tested and has had problems with suicidal thoughts. Some days the counseling she is going to seems to be making it worse. This has affected all aspects of her life, school, grades, friendships, and trust.
Please help us pray that this is all made right and justice will win.
