Press Release: January 17, 2025 – Family Life Radio Toy Drive Brings Hope to 2,500 Children
TUCSON, AZ (January 17, 2025) — Family Life Radio’s (FLR) Toy Drive collected over 13,000 gifts in December 2024, bringing the hope of Christmas to more than 2,500 children nationwide who might not have received a gift.
“Family Life Radio’s generous listeners have once again shown the love of Christ through their support of the annual Toy Drive, bringing hope and joy to children and families in need at Christmas,” said Evan Carlson, President and CEO of FLR.
FLR partnered with eight local nonprofits who support families in need. Youth Haven, which provides life-changing, Christ-centered experiences for disadvantaged children, served as the beneficiary in Arizona and Michigan.
“We are so thankful for the outpouring of support and love shown by so many listeners and the staff of our sister ministry, Family Life Radio! We are so blessed to not only give the toys to each child, but to make sure they understand that Jesus is the reason for the season,” said Lars Carlson, President and CEO of Youth Haven.
In addition to Youth Haven, the Toy Drive supported the following organizations:
- Christmas for Kids Southwest in Wisconsin
- Mission Southside and Carry the Cross Ministries in Kansas
- Kelsey’s Christmas For Kids in Tennessee
- Mission Agape and Lubbock Dream Center in Texas
- Victory Outreach Church of Albuquerque in New Mexico
Over 100 local businesses in seven states including Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, served as drop off locations. FLR’s regional promotion coordinators also hosted donation events, allowing members of the community to personally contribute to this life-changing initiative.
