Press Release: March 19, 2024 – Family Life Radio Listeners Show Acts of Kindness During Love Your Neighbor Campaign

TUCSON, AZ (March 19, 2024) — Family Life Radio (FLR) listeners nationwide rallied together during the month of February for the Love Your Neighbor campaign. Encouraged to nominate individuals in need of a special act of kindness, listeners responded with an outpouring of support, walking out Jesus’ command in Mark 12:31 to love one another.

“This campaign illustrates the power of compassion and generosity, with listeners across the country selflessly helping others they’ve never met,” said Mike Kankelfritz, FLR’s Chief Broadcast Engagement Officer.

Here are just some of the many calls received:

• Sue from Michigan nominated her friend Patty, known for her selfless devotion to others, including her great-grandchildren, despite juggling a demanding job at a medical facility. FLR connected Sue with tickets to a Lauren Daigle concert, one of Patty’s favorite music artists.

• Bridget, an Airforce wife and foster mom, received support from nearby listeners in New Mexico who called in to arrange a day of pampering for her.
• Claude, who is raising his great-grandchildren while caring for his sister, found assistance when Amber, the owner of a cleaning service, offered to clean his home.
• Jason from Michigan, in need of a furnace, received support from several callers, including Cole, who stepped forward to help fulfill this essential need.
• Mike from Texas, known for his selfless contributions to others over the years, found himself in difficult circumstances and was nominated by his friend to receive a computer for his graphic design business. Mary said she could help and is providing him with a laptop.

The Love Your Neighbor campaign exemplifies the spirit of community and compassion, demonstrating that small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
