GAP Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Tucson, Arizona, dedicated to serving Southern Arizona since 1999. Their mission is to stand in the gap to bring help to children, healing to families, and hope to the community.
The organization offers a variety of programs to address community needs:
• Children: They operate group homes for children and teens placed through the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) and provide foster care training and licensing.
• Family: Services include supervised visitation for families of children in foster care and the Miracle Center, which offers career and life management training to help individuals provide for their families.
• Community: Their Community Warehouse distributes food and essential items to local nonprofits and individuals in need, including those on AHCCCS, veterans, seniors, foster and adoptive families, and refugees. Additionally, the GAP Kitchen prepares meals for low-income children and others in need, and the Career Plus program offers career and life management training for the unemployed, underemployed, and those seeking better opportunities.
Through these initiatives, GAP Ministries strives to break cycles of poverty and abuse, empowering individuals to achieve their best lives.
