We’re in this together

Sally: We are really living in unprecedented times. We’re experiencing things we’ve never walked through. But I’ve been thinking about what an opportunity this is to share our joy. And to share God’s love. 1 Corinthians 16:13–14 says, “Be on your guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous, be strong, do everything in love.” I’m reminded that there are things we can do in love to make a difference.

Kankelfritz: Absolutely. Look out for each other. Check on your neighbor. If you’ve got something extra, help somebody else out. As Christ followers, this is our Super Bowl right now. People want to know how to deal with all of this uncertainty. And we have an opportunity to say, “Here’s how God’s helping me. And He has peace for you too.” It’s a perfect time to pray with people because no one turns down prayer.

Sally: That’s so true. I’ve never been turned down and yet I know I have turned down opportunities.

Kankelfritz: Even when I’ve asked atheists, they’ve said, “Sure.”

Sally: So, these are good verses for all of us to remember. “Do everything in love.” Look for those opportunities to reach out and share the love of Christ.
