The word transformed seems overly used in the bombardment of social media and methods to refocus your mindset and set sail for your own ambitions. Do success and happiness come from achieving your goals and pursuing your dreams? Yes! But, when they are aligned with God’s plan for your life, you experience a new level of joy and accomplishment.
To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
– Colossians 1:27 ESV
When you allow Christ to live through you, you experience a transformation beyond anything you could achieve on your own. You become more patient, compassionate, loving and generous. You find that the things that used to matter to you begin to lose their grasp, and you become free to pursue the things that truly matter by utilizing the skills God has uniquely given you.
Unless you have an experience like the Apostle Paul, your transformation doesn’t happen overnight. It is a process that requires you to be intentional about remaining connected to Christ through prayer, worship and studying His Word. You must also surrender your desires and goals and allow Christ to work through you to accomplish His purposes.
God desires to work through you to reach others and fulfill His plan with your unique abilities.
By being a follower of Christ, you become a conduit of His love and grace to others you encounter. You can love your neighbors as yourself, serve those in need and bring light to a dark and sin-filled world. When aligning yourself with Christ, you will experience the true joy and fulfillment that can only come from a life lived in Him.
Today is the moment when transformation in Christ has the most powerful change in you. Embrace His transformative power of being united with Him. Allow Him to live through you for His purposes and your amazing change.
Today’s One Thing
Pray for the Lord’s transformative power in your life. Spend time in prayer, worship and study His Word. Christ has made a way, and you are invited to be transformed and aligned with Him.
