Dr. Holmberg did not grow up going to a chiropractor for care. However, she had always thought she wanted to do something in the medical profession. When it came time for her to make a decision about her career, she was more confused than ever. After observing multiple health care professions, she finally visited a chiropractor. It was like a light bulb went off and the power was turned on in her mind. Once she was educated about the natural health and wellness chiropractic care provides, she was a believer. It became her passion for continuing to share the story of chiropractic.
Dr. Holmberg attended National University of Health Sciences for chiropractic school after attending Spring Arbor University for her undergraduate education. Her first child was born during chiropractic school and her second was born one week before her board examinations. Dr. Holmberg received the benefits of chiropractic care during both pregnancies. Both births were natural and each one got easier, thanks to chiropractic education and care.
It was after chiropractic college that Dr. Holmberg decided to specialize in prenatal and pediatric care. Dr. Holmberg is certified in the Webster Technique, which provides many benefits for new mothers and allows for a safer, more natural birth. She wants women to be educated so they know that there is an alternative to epidurals and C-sections. In fact, she wants women to enjoy labor and delivery, not fear it. She wants to help others have beautiful, amazing birth experiences.
Dr. Holmberg’s children have both received chiropractic care from birth to make sure their nervous systems are working at their highest potential. She strives to give expectant moms hope, knowing that they can have a wonderful experience throughout pregnancy and during birth.
Dr. Holmberg is completing 180 hours of training with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She is committed to continually learning more to benefit her patients.

What is Abba House?
Abba House is a 12 month minimum residential ministry with a three month minimum transition period for women with emotional wounding.
Abba House is a safe place for women to come and receive God’s love and forgiveness. At Abba House you WILL be loved and will heal and grow!
The ministry at Abba House is Christian in nature and content. However, non-Christians are welcome to participate.
An initial period, where the mother is making personal progress in growth and healing, is required before children can join their mother in the program.
Getting help at Abba House cannot be undertaken lightly. Residents must be free from drugs, medication or alcohol at the time of arrival. Residents are required to assist with daily tasks at Abba House and to work at the Abba House Thrift Store.

Doug is a former Navy Nuclear Submarine officer and Air Force JAG who worked with the Department of Defense and Department of State (the US Embassy in Kabul) while deployed to Qatar and Afghanistan to help draft the Status of Forces Agreement and Bilateral Security Agreement signed by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai in September 2014. Also, while Doug was deployed, he briefed a 1-Star General on developing Intelligence Law issues on a weekly basis, as well as (among other things) advising US Central Command on information releases regarding detainees and other sensitive records.

Although Doug didn’t grow up in Tucson, he met his wife in Tucson while earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (in 3 years) from the University of Arizona College of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, and graduated from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in 2012 where he earned the Ralph E. Long Memorial Award for Outstanding Contribution to the College of Law in 2011, the Gonzales-Villarreal Bridge Program Award in 2012, and earned several other scholarships and awards (see his Avvo profile for more information).
While earning his Law Degree, Doug worked for the Law School’s Veterans’ Advocacy Clinic; Chief Judge John Roll’s office in the Federal District Court in Tucson, Arizona; and Judge Eileen Hollowell’s chambers at the Bankruptcy Court in Tucson, Arizona. Doug also argued an immigration/asylum case at the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in Pasadena, California, under the Law School’s Ninth Circuit Pro Bono Appellate program. Doug was also an Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy (Vol 35, Issue 1), and worked with MBA students in the MBA & Law School’s Law, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Program where he acted as counsel for MBA students and volunteered his time at the Arizona Center for Innovation assisting current and future Entrepreneurs to develop and protect their rising enterprises.
On the side, Doug spends as much time as he can with his wife and four children, assists Churches, Schools, and Religious Non-Profits, and is an Allied Attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom, a First Amendment Legal Advocacy Organization.

It’s been a tough search. There haven’t been any printed or online local Christian directories in years. Plus our society prefers mobile and online information. We have mostly relied on a few referrals from churches or friends.
In order to follow after the biblical guide in Gal. 6:10 – When the right opportunities present themselves why not seek out the businesses of the “household of faith;” especially in these uncertain economic times. As we spoke to many of our friends in churches across our central coast, they expressed the same need; “Do you know of a trusted —– ?” We didn’t always have an answer. Now we do!
