Your Famous God

You remember people most for what they become famous for in their life. The media can make people famous (or infamous) based on the story they tell. The Good News tells of God’s fame. His character and nature is so vastly good that He is famous to each person for different reasons.

The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.
─ Psalm 126:3 ESV

Tauren Wells and Jenn Johnson’s song, “Famous For,” asks God to do what He’s famous for:

Make way through the waters
Walk me through the fire
Do what You are famous for
What You are famous for
Shut the mouths of lions
Bring dry bones to life and
Do what You are famous for
What You are famous for

Believe God will do what He’s famous for in you.

The psalmist declared the Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy (Psalm 126:3 NIV). God is known for His powerful miracles that only He can perform. He not only releases us from the prison of sin, but also returns us back to Him.

What is God famous for in your life? What new and exciting miracles are you trusting Him to perform in your life?

Today’s One Thing
Read Psalm 126 (it’s short). Give God praise today for the things He’s done in and for you. And trust Him to fill you with overflowing joy today because of all the things He’s famous for in your life.
