Youth Haven Ranch

Many children today live in the midst of difficult and tragic circumstances—abuse, neglect, poverty, drug and alcohol abuse, broken homes and gang violence.

Youth Haven shines the light of Christ in their dark worlds showing real hope in Jesus. With ranches in Michigan and Arizona, Youth Haven has designed year-round, on-site programs for disadvantaged youth ages 7-13.

The program involves

  • team activity time
  • arts & crafts
  • group games
  • chapel
  • hiking
  • biking
  • hayrides
  • singing
  • devotions
  • swim time in the summer
  • sledding during the winter (MI)
  • meal times
  • visiting the petting farm
  • and much more!

A different group of children come to Youth Haven Ranches each week throughout the year. Weekend and weeklong programs are provided with many children participating multiple times each year. Children are referred to Youth Haven by social services, health departments, schools, welfare agencies, social workers, juvenile court systems, churches and individuals.

Ultimately, all children become part of Youth Haven’s ongoing follow-up program which shows hurting children that God loves them, people care about them and there is hope for the future.

Youth Haven is a non-denominational Christian outreach fully committed to meeting the needs of disadvantaged youth. While Family Life Radio and Youth Haven are separate organizations, they are sister ministries with common goals and objectives.

Further, the two ministries are led by brothers with Dr. Randy Carlson serving as President of Family Life Radio and Larry Carlson serving as President of Youth Haven.
