Holiness Enters

When you picture holiness or attempt to describe its meaning, you’d probably use descriptive words like untarnished, unstained, unblemished, integrity-filled, honest, pure and perfect.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Moses experienced the power and brilliance of holiness through the angel of the Lord at Horeb – the mountain of God where Moses encountered the burning bush. Moses was informed, “Take off your sandals. The land on which you stand is holy.” Moses needed to demonstrate the highest degree of respect as he was in the Lord’s presence.

On the unforgettable day when Jesus entered Jerusalem (referred to as Palm Sunday), Jesus instructed two disciples to secure a donkey for His entrance. Christ’s holiness was so magnificent that people placed leafy branches on the ground, and some laid down their personal cloaks (body wraps) as signs of glorious respect and honor as the people shouted Hosanna.

Christ is holy; He saves the lost and sanctifies all who believe.

The holiness of Christ cannot be contained. It produces uncontrollable jubilation for those in His presence. While this was evident when Christ entered into Jerusalem, His holiness remains the same today.

When you accept Christ as your Savior, you are set apart and made perfect because of His obedience and sacrifice on the cross. You are forgiven of past mistakes. You are given the authority to be guided by the Holy Spirit and make holy decisions.

Christ made a way for you to be separated from sin, but not isolated from sin. It is not easy to be holy, but this is why Christ was obedient to make a way for you to progress and learn daily from His Word and the Holy Spirit. His presence is with you. Walk in His power and authority because you are sanctified and made to be holy.
