Ask for What Pleases God

If you’ve ever struggled to know what to pray, you can be sure your prayers line up with His will when you pray Scripture. It pleases Him when you ask for His will to be done in the world and in your own life.

We are certain that God will hear our prayers when we ask for what pleases him.

The Bible is filled with answers to your questions. You can search the Bible on almost any topic and find the truth of what pleases God concerning that specific topic.

God’s Word is His will.

Let’s say you are struggling with fear. God’s Word is filled with truth about fear.
God has given you a spirit of power, love and a sound mind – not a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7,8).
Jesus died to free us from living each day with the fear of dying (Hebrews 2:15).

The Psalms are often prayers David prayed, and they can easily be adapted to your prayer life.
Even when I am afraid, I keep on trusting you. I praise your promises! I trust you and am not afraid. No one can harm me (Psalm 56:3-4 CEV).
The Lord is your light and salvation; He protects you from danger. Though war breaks out, you can trust Him (Psalm 27:1, 3).

Today’s One Thing
Look to the back of your Bible to the topic that concerns you today. Review the scriptures referenced and write down the ones that speak to your heart. Rewrite them in your own words and pray them aloud to the Father.
