Access Undeniable

“Access Denied” is definitely an undesirable message but happens at times when your password has expired or your password tries have exceeded the limit. It’s annoying and slows you down as you figure out what has to be done to get back in.

Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
─ Romans 5:2 ESV

The High Priest was the only one with access to the Holy of Holies room in the Temple in Jerusalem. Reserved for the presence of God, the High Priest could enter only once a year.

When Jesus gave up His life on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins, the thick veil that protected this most holy place tore from top to bottom, signifying that Jesus ripped through the barrier between God and sinful men and women. Access to God through Christ became available to all.

Through Jesus, you have access to the King of kings.

Through Jesus, you have access by faith to the grace in which you stand (see our verse for today) 1 Peter 2:9 (ESV) says, “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

The King of kings considers you royalty, and you can stand confidently in the light of His love. He extends His invitation for you to approach His throne at all times.

Today’s One Thing

Take advantage of the access you have to approach God in prayer. Come boldly like a child approaches a loving Father and praise Him for His provision.
