Stand with Expectations

“You can do this,” “Believe in yourself” and “Make it happen” are all affirming statements you have heard and given to others. Perhaps you shouted these or similar statements to your friends before they competed in an event or ventured into an opportunity. Without question, you believed in them and encouraged them with optimism.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

─ Isaiah 41:10 ESV

God’s Word offers the same optimism and encouragement to you that you offered your friends. The Lord is with you through your daily walk, during your battles, while you are at work, when you are at home and the times you feel alone. You are wonderful and divinely appointed. Believers are also heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17).

The lens of the world is filled with uncertainty and skepticism, which are tactics the enemy uses to make you ineffective and bring unnecessary doubt and depression upon you.

  • Capture every thought that passes through your mind that attempts to convince you differently and release all doubts to the Lord.
  • Don’t accept those attempts. You are God’s child.
  • Do not accept anything passing through your mind that counters God’s Word and truth.
  • You are God’s child.

The Master of the universe knows you by name, and He loves you.

You are created in God’s image and have the freedom to rely on Him, and trust in the righteous and appropriate confidence to live life abundantly. The Master of the universe knows you by name, and He loves you. He knows more about you than you can comprehend. God has chosen you to have confidence in everything you pursue according to His plan. You got this.

If you ever have skepticism or doubt or feel not good enough, remember the Lord tells you to fear not, for He is with you everywhere you go, and He will give you the strength needed. He wants to help you always.

Today’s One Thing
