Freedom of Choice

The greatest gift given to you is Jesus Christ. The second greatest gift given to you is freedom of choice. Think about all the choices you make every day. Yes, there are smaller routine choices, and you likely face larger ones that can create hesitation or stress.

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

– Proverbs 16:3 ESV

Understand, you have the power and freedom given to you by God to make choices that direct the course of your life. You are not a helpless victim of your circumstances, but you are free and capable of shaping your destiny through your choices and mindset.

This is an incredible responsibility because it means you can choose how you respond to any situation. You can choose to face adversity with courage, faith and reliance upon the Lord, or you can choose to give in to despair, defeat and dependency upon yourself. You can choose to pursue your dreams and passions, or you can settle for a life of mediocrity and complacency.

Reliance upon the Lord means you have placed Him first in your decision-making.

John Maxwell said, “Freedom of choice is not just a human right, it is also a divine gift. God has given us the freedom to choose, and with that freedom comes the responsibility to choose wisely.”

Jesus Christ has paid the price for your sins, and He wants you to flourish. While you may have accepted Christ as your Savior, you still have many decisions to make.

Seek to align your choices with God’s will and trust His goodness and grace to guide you toward authentic fulfillment. Choose to live with courage and faith, and let your life reflect God’s love and grace.
