His Love Is More than Enough

Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.

─ Psalm 33:22

Why is it so hard for us to live in the moment or to enjoy one day at a time? Why do our minds tend to race forward, more times than not, concerned about what will be? We also are frequently compelled to look back and evaluate what we could have done differently, when it’s usually too late to change things.

Jesus knew this struggle was real for so many of us. He addressed it during His time of ministry on earth. He said, “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew 6:34)

God’s love for us was enough for Him. God’s love compelled Him to give Jesus, His only son, so that He could restore us to Him, even at the risk of each one of us rejecting His love.

One way we can live in the moment is to set our heart and eyes on just how much God loves us. It’s so important to know that His love will always be enough. When we receive His love, we accept the truth that we can trust Him with our lives – with everything that concerns us.
