Express Your Love to God

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Express Your Love to God

The Christmas season is all about demonstrating the love of God to the Father and to others. Often, we first think of love as a feeling. We feel love for those we are closest to. And we do and say things to demonstrate our love to our children and grandchildren in many ways.

But what about demonstrating love for God? Our verse today encourages us to love one another because love comes from God. If you truly love, then you are born of God and you know Him. If you don’t love, you don’t truly know Him because He is the very definition of love.

You experience love in action as you embrace, celebrate your children and grandchildren. In the same way you show your love to others, you can also show your love to God as you:

1. 1. Think about Him.
   2. Talk about Him.
   3. Point others to Him.
   4. Revere Him (respect, don’t want to offend Him).
   5. Obey His commandments.
   6. Communicate with Him.

Demonstrate your love this week by doing all six of the things above at least once this week.
