God, Use What I’ve Got

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

─ Ephesians 2:8-10 NKJV

God, Use What I’ve Got

Sometimes we have this mindset that we have to clean up and get everything together and in order before God can use us. You don’t have to be perfect before God can use you. He wants to use you where you’re at so that He receives the glory for your life.

In the verses today, Paul declares it’s nothing you’ve done, but the grace of God that has positioned you to please Christ. By grace you are saved. Through faith you accept God’s mercy and allow Him to do the work in your own life, while also serving Him to point others toward Him.

You have a God-given sphere of influence. He has positioned you for greatness right where you’re at. That doesn’t mean you stop growing and become more like Christ, but as you move closer to Him, you can bring others along with you to know Him.

Today’s One Thing

Give God access to influence others for the kingdom. Ask Him today, who do you want to speak to through me. Invite Him to help you live your life in a way that draws others to Him.
