Beyond Imagination

TAYA on God’s Unfailing Dependability

TAYA, worship leader and Christian artist, shared with Family Life Radio what God has been showing her lately.

“Time and time again, I love that we’re called to be people of faith,” TAYA shares. “It’s impossible to please God apart from faith, but first, you have to believe that He exists and that He cares enough to respond to those who seek Him,” echoing the biblical principle found in Hebrews 11:6.

Faith must be central in our relationship with God. It’s acknowledging God’s existence and trusting in His active presence in our lives.

TAYA continues, “I beleive we’re to be faithul; we’re to be good stewards with everything that He’s given us.” And she admits, “I felt like I hadn’t been a good steward with the songwriting part of my life for my gift.”

Like the servants in the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), we’re all entrusted with gifts and talents. We each carry the responsibility to utilize what God has given us.

Navigating Challenges in Stewardship

“I’d kind of buried this songwriting thing that I knew was meant to be,” TAYA shares. “I moved out from home at 21. I was working in retail when I moved to Sydney. It was either eat, or buy a piano. And so, I definitely ate. And again, retail, you aren’t getting paid much money.”

Life’s demands often lead us to set aside our gifts, but this is where the beauty of God’s grace shines through. Despite her feelings of inadequacy, TAYA learned that God’s kindness and patience are greater than our shortcomings. She realized that it’s never too late to start using the gifts God has entrusted to us.

Witnessing God’s Overwhelming Faithfulness

TAYA says, “God is gracious, and He is kind. And what I come to know over this whole last season of this album coming to light … is that, yes, we’re meant to be faithful, but also just know that the faithfulness of God is so far above anything that we could ask, think, or imagine. When you are faithful even in like the eleventh hour, and the fifty- seventh minute, let me tell you – God comes in, and His faithfulness supercedes anything that we ever do.”

God’s faithfulness is never diminished.

“The faithfulness of God is something that I think He’s been reminding me of in a really precious and sweet way,” TAYA says. Often, we might feel like we’ve fallen short, but God’s faithfulness is not contingent on our perfection. It’s His constant, reassuring presence in our journey.
