A Reflection of God’s Love with Brandon Heath

Imagine, if you will, the joy, the responsibility and the spiritual revelation that comes with parenthood. From a recent interview with Family Life Radio, contemporary Christian artist Brandon Heath shared about becoming a father in 2017.

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

– 1 Corinthians 13:12 NLT

“I’ve got two little girls – a three- and a four-year-old.” Brandon poetically describes his children as a mirror, offering glimpses into his own character, but also reflecting the unfathomable love of God. He states, “My children show me, on a daily basis, who I am. But they’re also showing me God and how he loves me.”

God knows you completely.

Like Brandon, you too can view your life, your relationships and your responsibilities through this insightful lens. Each encounter and connection you have is an opportunity for self-discovery and divine reflection.

Brandon says, “He has entrusted me with two little girls. I get to be their earthly father and hopefully, echo who their Heavenly Father is. I can’t be their Heavenly Father. Thankfully, I don’t have to carry that weight, but I do love them without condition, easily.”

Consider this in your own life. You are entrusted with roles – as a parent, sibling, friend or mentor. You are tasked to echo God’s unconditional love to others.

Today’s One Thing

Make conscious decisions today to let the reflections you cast be images of God that will inspire and encourage you as well as others.
